I'm delighted to be modelling for the wonderful Rachel Freire (designer of many of our circus costumes) on the last weekend of awesome Mutoid Waste Co exhibition.

For the last 3 years this already legendary underground club night have been putting on the best in Rock’n’Roll, Burlesque, Freak Show, Cabaret and Comedy. In the words of Time Out, “if you have only 12 hours to live – spend it at the Gypsy Hotel!

The Urban Voodoo Machine www.theurbanvoodoomachine.com are the main movers shakers behind the Hotel – this black’n’red clad gang features between 7 to 12 musicians playing guitars, drums, fiddle, trumpet, banjo, washboard, upright bass, gong, mandolin, accordion, harmonicas, saxophone and even empty bottles & tie racks to build their unique Bourbon Soaked Gypsy Blues Bop’N’Stroll which is also the name of their critically acclaimed debut long player. They are simply the most spirited band tht I have encountered since first stumbling across the original Pogues.

Joining the revelry will be Lady Ane Angel www.myspace.com/ladyane, a fire eating, snake charming, absinthe swilling burlesque beauty who been enflaming passions around the world for the last 4 years, and DJ Scratchy www.scratchysounds.co.uk who has toured with the mighty Clash, Gogol Bordello and the aforementioned Pogues. Scratchy still has his finger on the rockin’ dance pulse, bringing together an irresistible blend of rock’n’roll, reggae and roma, a true mestizo mix of the greatest music on the planet, from and for all times.

At the Gypsy Hotel everyone dresses up, so dress wild, red’n’black and burlesque to add to the show and maybe you’ll be snapped by photographer Shakeypix.
